It always seems impossible until its done. ~ Nelson Mandela

Morning with Nelson Mandela week :

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world. ~ Nelson Mandela

If you want to make peace with your enemy, you have to work with your enemy.
Then he becomes your partner. ~ Nelson Mandela

It always seems impossible until its done. ~ Nelson Mandela

The many tasks we encounter everyday to reach our visions, dreams or goals..they certainly do have a way of seeming steep as we look ahead contemplating... what needs to be done before we embark on them. During the task there is always blood, sweat and tears depending on the level of the task...and often sacrifice: yet upon completion we are relieved with a sense of achievement, accomplishment and worth. We then look back and say to ourselves...It looks so small now... For a visual, it is almost like looking to the mountain before we climb it and then after we reach its summit it is so much more achievable, you almost feel as if you want to do it again. It is real and not just a vision, dream or goal. I face this daily in my personal and business life...yet I always go forward no matter how big the task appears initially..a little coaching always helps from our friends and family yet when it comes down to it, we are in it on our own. The key is to "Go Forward" and not quit before or during...and if something can't be completed to retrieve, maybe even sleep on it, only to return the next day and simply try again...

" A goal cannot be achieved if we quit because of its steepness, one can retrieve for a better plan only to go forward hoping to reach completion..there is no great vision, dream or goal achieved without great obstacles and a steep incline. "

Nelson Mandela lived a great life with many obstacles and sacrificed much for what he believed in. He has always been a great inspiration to me influencing my life.

Nelson Mandela has accomplished many things, but his greatest influence may be for something he didn't do: run for a second term as South Africa's leader after his tern from 1994-1999. As the first President of a post-apartheid South Africa, he was, like George Washington, aware that everything he did would be a model for those who would follow. He once said, "I don't want to be an octogenarian President." What he really meant was that no man--not even one unfairly imprisoned for 27 years--should be above the law or the people. Currently he is still alive at 90 yrs. old living a quiet life with his family.

Nelson Mandela's two quotes below are so amazing to me. These are the quotes of a man who spent 27 years in prison for his beliefs on equality and freedom. He sacrificed his life and then he became the president always serving others. What incredible obstacles he surpassed and what an example of having the faith, love for his people, strength in his cause, and the mind and spirit to " Go Forward". His actions always spoke louder than words and his humanitarian efforts are to be admired by all, for always. I often think of Nelson Mandela when an obstacle stands before me or a mountain appears to be too steep...I often think of Nelson Mandela when I need to make a decision and desire to serve others as a true humanitarian.

For to be free is not merely to cast off one's chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of others. ~ Nelson Mandela

In my country we go to prison first and then become President. ~ Nelson Mandela
