There's nothing that can't be done if we raise our voice as one ~ Michael Jackson

The Memorial Service for Michael Jackson at the Staples Center in LA which was also a Celebration of his Life shined brilliantly as a extraordinary event which will be cherished by his family, friends and fans for a long time.....

They say the sky is the limit, And to me that is really true. ~ Michael Jackson

I'm alive and I'm here forever ~ Michael Jackson

What an incredible memorial...I would like to capture some precious moments here.

Many of his friends and family in this memorial showed such love...

Brooke Sheilds spoke of her friendship with him and how she said he was " The Little Prince"...and how they always laughed together...and how he was pure and saw the world through his heart...She said "Michael Jackson's laugh was the sweetest and purest one I've ever known."

Michael Jackson's favorite song was from Charlie Chaplin's Modern Times "Smile" and Jermaine Jackson sang it....in honor of his brother.

Kobe Bryant and Magic Johnson, 2 of the best athletes both were inspired by him...and spoke in his honor. Magic said " Michael Jackson inspired me to be a better player."

Mariah Carey and Trey Lorenz sang "I'll Be There" and you could see how choked up she was..Stevie Wonder sang "I never dreamed you'd leave in Summer" and spoke of his love for Michael.

Martin Luther King III spoke about his father Martin Luther King Jr. My father said :

"In life one must discover what their calling is, and when they do, they must do their jobs so well that the living, the dead or the unborn can do no better." ~ Martin Luther King Jr.

He said my father constantly challenged us to become our best, by stating:

"If you cannot be a pine on the top of a hill, just be a shrub in the valley but be the best little shrub on the side of the road, be a bush if you cannot be a tree, if you cannot be the highway just be a trail, if you cannot be the sun just be a star; for it isn't by size that you win or fail you've got to be the best of what you are." He said "Michael Jackson was truly the best of what he was !!!...."

He also added that his father said that " In life if it falls ever your lot to be a street sweeper, you must sweep streets so well, in fact you must sweep streets like Beethoven composed music, sweep streets like Shakespeare wrote poetry, sweep streets like Rafael painted pictures, sweep streets so well that all the hopes of the heavens and the earth would have to pause and say ...'Here lived the great street sweeper that did his job well'..." He said "I believe on June 25th when Michael Jackson passed away the Heaven and Earth paused because he was the best and said "Here lived a great entertainer who did his job well ! "

Bernice King, Martin Luther King Jr.'s daughter spoke :

"My prayer is that no one and nothing; public or private; fact or fiction; true or rumored; will separate you from the love of God; because ultimately at the end of the day; it is only God's love that will anchor you, sustain you, and move you to a higher ground far above the noise of life, there you will find the peace, comfort and joy to move forward to advance Michael's legacy. It is apparent like our father & mother Martin Luther & Coretta King that, Michael's life was inspired by the love of God. Throughout the ages few are chosen from amongst us to use their gifts and talents to demonstrate God's love in an effort to bring the world together in true sister and brotherhood. Michael was such a one."

Bernice King went on to say, "He epitomized the words of our father that an individual hasn't started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns, to the broader concerns of humanity. Michael was always concerned with others with humanity. And I want the world to know that despite being embroiled in accusations and persecution as a humanitarian he thought it not robbery to concern himself with one of this world's other great humanitarians, our mother during her illness 3 months before her death. In October 2005 I was with my mother when he called her all the way from the Middle East. She couldn't speak because of her stroke she listened as he said to her that he had been praying on his knees everyday for her. He said she was America's true royalty to him. He wanted her to know if music was being played in her room because of its healing effect. My only wish is that he could have seen the glow on her face. If faces could smile as we know they do, that day, Michael Jackson made our mother's face smile in spite of her condition. What an unforgettable moment"

She also added...."Michael was such a thoughtful and selfless man full of the unconditional love of God and good works that touched and changed lives. He was indeed a shining light. Like our father Martin Luther King Jr, and in remembrance of Michael may we all be inspired to go and let our lives shine...RIP our brother Michael "

Sheila Jackson Lee from the House of Representatives, member of the US Congress and the Congressional Black Caucus, said on June 25th they stopped everything at the house and had a moment of silence for the wonderful legend and icon in honor of him when he died. She said " Michael never stopped giving...The king never stopped saying ...'I care about you'..." He has a great desire to go to Iraq and thank soldier's who sacrificed serving us and their country while visiting hospitals in Iraq. She elaborated on his extraordinary humanitarian service . She compared him to the Good Samaritan who cared and loved the world. She held up a plack in honor of him known as the Resolution 600 given to him for being an American Legend, a World Humanitarian and Musical Icon.

She ended saying... " Michael I salute you"

There was so much more, it just leaves me greatly moved from Usher singing "Gone Too Soon" to Jennifer Hudson singing "Will you Be There". Queen Latifah quoting the poet Dr. Maya Angelou and John Mayer's instrumental of " Human Nature".

Founder of Motown
Berry Gordy said " I think The King of Pop isn't big enough for Michael Jackson. I think he is simply the greatest entertainer that ever lived."

Paris, Michael Jackson's daughter who is 11 yrs. old said "Ever since I was born Daddy was the best father you could ever imagine...I just want to say I love you so much Daddy..."
